Seeking a Seasoned Technical Lead / Staff Engineer with leadership skills, technical design skills and hands-on developement t o lead software development delivery for enterprise-scale applications for our healthcare client.

Location: Hybrid in Hartford, CT. Will consider Remote opportunities for strong candidate.

Open to GC and USC only

W2 Candidates only. This is a contract-to-hire position that will convert to full time after 3 months.

Require deep expertise in Java microservices , API design and integration , cloud platforms(GCP) , DevOps practices , AI/ML integration , QA automation , and healthcare payer domain knowledge .

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end software development delivery for complex projects.
  • Part of Architect and design Java-based microservices , APIs, and distributed systems.
  • Drive cloud-native solutions (GCP/Azure) with best practices for scalability and security.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines , automated testing, and DevOps practices for efficient delivery.
  • Design and manage API development and integration strategies for internal and external systems.
  • Integrate AI/ML capabilities into applications for predictive analytics and intelligent automation.
  • Define and implement QA automation strategies using modern frameworks and tools.
  • Collaborate with product owners, architects, and cross-functional teams to define technical solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and code reviews for development teams.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare payer standards , HIPAA, and data security regulations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across environments.
  • Contribute to technology roadmaps and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 10+ years of software development experience, with at least 3+ years in a Tech Lead or Staff Engineer role .
  • Strong proficiency in Java , Spring Boot , and microservices architecture .
  • Hands-on experience with API design , integration patterns , and RESTful services .
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Expertise in DevOps tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform).
  • Proven experience in AI/ML integration and data-driven solutions .
  • Strong knowledge of QA automation frameworks (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar).
  • Experience in healthcare payer domain (claims processing, enrollment, eligibility, etc.).
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with observability tools (Splunk, ELK, Prometheus, Grafana).
  • Familiarity with data platforms , ETL pipelines , and integration strategies .
  • Exposure to Agile methodologies and scaled delivery frameworks.
