As a Senior Hardware Test Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and longevity of satellite hardware. You’ll own the development and execution of comprehensive test strategies that validate wireless payloads, uncover weaknesses, and optimize system durability across the full lifecycle— from design validation to flight readiness in the harshest space environments. Build and execute rigorous test protocols for RF and mixed‑signal hardware. Analyze test data to identify failure modes, drive root‑cause investigations, and feed improvements back into design. Develop methods to optimize system resilience under space conditions. Lead continuous improvement in test methodology, automation, and best practices. Provide technical mentorship and help raise the bar for test engineering. Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams—hardware, software, and mechanical—to ensure reliability from initial design through manufacturing and in‑orbit operation. Requirements 7+ years of experience in hardware validation, test engineering, or RF systems testing. Experience in design, testing, and debugging of RF PCBAs. Proficiency with test equipment (oscilloscope, VNA, spectrum analyzer, signal generator). Programming skills in Python, C/C++. Experience conducting root‑cause failure analysis and implementing corrective actions, especially in RF systems. Understanding of metrology, sources of measurement error, and uncertainty analysis. Experience with environmental testing such as thermal, vibration, and TVAC. Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of experience in reliability engineering, testing, or quality assurance, preferably within the aerospace or satellite industry. Experience in high‑volume manufacturing, assembly, and testing of electronic components.
